A full-time Behavior Specialist with BCBA credentials is sought for a K-8 Meadowood Program serving students with moderate to severe cognitive disabilities. This contract position extends through the current school year, ending June 12, 2026. The role is based on-site and requires active Delaware licensure, with prior school experience preferred.
Responsibilities Include
- Implementing behavior assessment plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Developing and monitoring behavior intervention strategies aligned with best practices in special education.
- Collaborating with educators, therapists, and families to support positive student outcomes.
- Collecting and analyzing behavioral data to inform instructional decisions.
- Providing training and guidance to staff on behavior management techniques.
Qualifications And Experience Desired
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Current Delaware special education licensure.
- Experience working with students exhibiting moderate to severe cognitive impairments.
- Knowledge of behavior analysis principles in educational settings.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Location and schedule:
- Position based in Middletown, Delaware.
- Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM.
- On-site presence required, working directly within the school environment.
